Your chiropractor in east Tulsa

Halsey Chiropractic is a Tulsa practice through and through. Dr. Halsey built it here, and Dr. Kyle Harders leads it today from the same office at 2140 S Memorial Drive, just south of the 21st Street intersection. For decades, Tulsa families have come here for back and neck pain, injuries and family care.

Tulsa is the county seat of Tulsa County and the second largest city in Oklahoma, set on the Arkansas River. The oil boom of the early 1900s left downtown with one of the finest collections of Art Deco buildings in the country, and historic Route 66 still runs through the city along 11th Street. You can find current population figures from the U.S. Census Bureau.

Why a Tulsa chiropractor matters

Tulsa is a driving city. Many residents commute on the Broken Arrow Expressway, I-44 and US-169 every day, and long hours in a car seat are hard on the lower back and neck. A large share of the city also works in offices, aviation, manufacturing and energy, which brings its own mix of desk-related neck strain and lifting injuries. Having a chiropractor close to home or work makes it easier to keep appointments and stay on track.

Staying active in Tulsa

Tulsa gives people plenty of reasons to stay on their feet. The River Parks trails run for miles along both banks of the Arkansas River, and the Gathering Place, the large riverside park that opened in 2018, draws runners, walkers and families every day. More miles on the trail can also mean sore knees, tight hips and aching lower backs. Getting a nagging problem checked early keeps a small strain from turning into weeks away from the things you enjoy.

Getting to our office

We are on Memorial Drive just south of 21st Street. From US-169, take the 21st Street exit and head west about a mile to Memorial. From midtown or Brookside, 21st Street east is a straight run. There is parking in front of the office.

How we can help

Most patients come to Halsey Chiropractic for back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, stiff joints or a sports injury. Dr. Kyle Harders treats these with hands-on chiropractic adjustments, using a plan he builds after examining you. When a bulging or herniated disc is the problem, non-surgical decompression may be part of that plan.

We care for every generation, and gentle care for children and expecting mothers uses techniques suited to the patient rather than a scaled-down adult adjustment.

Disc pain and sciatica

Pain that shoots down a leg, or numbness in a hand or foot, often points to a disc pressing on a nerve. Dr. Harders checks for that during your exam. If a herniated or bulging disc is involved, computerized decompression gently takes pressure off the disc over a series of sessions. It is not right for everyone, so a consultation always comes first, and he will explain the reasons if it is not a fit for you.

A small office where you are known

Halsey Chiropractic is a neighborhood practice, not a high-volume clinic. You see the same chiropractor every visit, and he remembers what has helped and what has not. Patients who started with Dr. Halsey years ago still come in under Dr. Harders, and reviews often mention how he adapts treatment when something changes.

After a car accident

If you were hurt in a wreck, get examined early. Pain and stiffness from whiplash often take a day or two to appear, and an exam soon after the crash documents the injury. We accept auto insurance and third-party liability claims, so bring your claim number and adjuster’s details. Read more about our auto injury chiropractic care.

What your first visit involves

Your first appointment is a conversation and an exam. Dr. Harders asks what hurts, when it started and what your days demand of your body, then checks your posture, range of motion and how your spine is moving. You get the findings in plain language, then a plan with a rough number of visits. If chiropractic is not the right answer for your problem, he will say so.

Hours and payment

We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8am to 12pm and 1:30pm to 6pm, and Tuesday and Thursday from 8am to 1pm. We accept auto insurance, third-party payers and liability claims, CareCredit, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, cash and check.
